Measure and mark

Then, measure the distance from the center of the picture to the top edge of the frame and make a second mark on the wall.
Install the hardware
Once you have your marks, it’s time to install the hardware. Use a hammer and nail to attach the hook to the wall, making sure it’s level with your mark. For larger or heavier pictures, it’s a good idea to use two hooks instead of one to distribute the weight more evenly.
Attach the wire
Attach the wire to the back of the picture frame, making sure it’s secure. The wire should be centered on the back of the frame and taut enough to support the weight of the picture.
Hang the picture
Hang the picture on the hook, making sure it’s level. If it’s not level, adjust the wire on the back of the frame until it is. Once the picture is level, step back and admire your work!
